Malayalam cinema is famous for recreating the actual murder mysteries into thrilling movies. Kanichukulangarayil C B I is one such movie.

In the film, the story is about a financial firm named Aanamala Chit Funds, run jointly by Ajith and Suresh. Ajith and Suresh (Saikumar and Meghanathan), the proprietors of Aanamala Chit Funds, catapulted to greater heights of goodwill and reputation mainly due to the sincerity and hard work of its Managing Director, Ratheesh. But when he realises about the ugly deals of his bosses, Ratheesh resigns and set up another firm with the support of legal adviser, Advocate Rahim.

Ratheesh become a new success story in financial business within a nick of time. One fine day Ratheesh and his sister gets killed, hit by a truck, at Kanichukulangara. A few days after, Ratheesh's father comes up with the allegation about murder which is then handled by Dy. S.P James George.

The movie will feature Suresh Krissna and Manoj K Jayan as the investigative officers who are into a detailed probe on the case. The original prosecution case was that, a lorry driven by the men of prime accused purposefully rammed a Tata Safari carrying the financier and two others near the Autokast factory at Kanichukulangara. The murder was allegedly ordered by two who had parted ways a few months earlier to set up their own firm.

Manoj K. Jayan plays the key role, as Arjun. The movie will also feature Suresh Krishna, Saikumar, Lekshmy Sharma, Meghanathan, Rajan P Dev, Sudheer, Kollam Thulasi, Sadiq, T P Madhavan, Resmi Soman, Darshan and Gayathri in other key roles. The movie will also have director Nizar playing a cameo as Kandararu.
