Students of socially and economically backward classes as per the Kumarapillai Commission report are eligible for fee concessions for PG, Professional, Technical (Medical, Engineering, Engineering Diploma etc.) courses and courses with special sanction by Govt. subject to the following income limits.

Annual income up to Rs.36, 000 - Fee exemption, lump sum grant

Monthly Stipend
Annual income 36000 to 42000 - Fee exemption, Lump sum grant

The income limit for SEBC students for reservation in professional colleges is 2.5 lakhs per year.

These benefits are given to students of forward castes as per the above.
